On a spring morning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 16-year-old Christine Green, affectionately known to her loved ones as 'Dinky' or 'Tina', left her family's residence on Greenway Avenue. It was April 23, 1985, and Christine was heading to Bartram High School, a trip she was expected to make by taking the Woodland Avenue trolley. She was last seen at approximately 8:00 a.m., dressed in a pink blouse, a blue vest, jeans, and black shoes. Christine never arrived at school that day and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5'0" tall and weighing 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Christine was known as a responsible and good student who was not prone to being late or absent from school. She was close with her seven siblings and her mother, who was ill and bedridden at the time of her disappearance. Her family stated that she had no history of running away and would always call home if she was going to be late. Despite this, there was speculation that Christine may have run away because she was possibly pregnant, a fear that has not been confirmed. A significant physical characteristic of Christine's was a surgical scar on her left flank from having her left kidney removed in July of 1984. This medical condition also meant that she would require medication if she were to develop a fever. The disappearance of Christine Green has left her family with unanswered questions for decades. Some law enforcement agencies initially classified her as an endangered runaway, but there is also a belief that foul play may have been involved in her case. A potential connection has been considered between Christine's disappearance and that of another 16-year-old Bartram High School student, Allen Briscoe, who went missing in December of the same year. Both teenagers were the same age, attended the same school, and were last seen in the same general area, but a definitive link between their cases has never been established. The lack of concrete evidence has made it difficult to determine the circumstances surrounding what happened to Christine after she left her home on that Tuesday morning. Her case remains an unsolved and painful mystery for her loved ones.
