On the morning of April 1, 1986, Archer Ray Johnson, a 42-year-old woodsman, disappeared from a remote area near the Pacific and Grays Harbor County line in Washington. Earlier that day, Archer, who resided in Cedarville with his wife of one month, had driven to his brother Earl's home near the logging hamlet of Brooklyn.
