On September 12, 2004, an 11-year-old boy named Richard 'Cody' Haynes vanished from his home in Kittitas, Washington. The night before his disappearance, Cody, an 11-year-old male, was punished for refusing to do the dishes. His father's girlfriend, Marla Harding, made him sit at the kitchen table for several hours before sending him to his bedroom around midnight.
