Roderick Shade, a 44-year-old from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, disappeared on September 12, 2005, while on a fishing trip in Port Bay, New York. He was an experienced fisherman and had spent the weekend in the area with his fianc�e. She left for work, but Shade decided to stay an extra day to fish. He was last known to have launched his 25-foot Bayliner motorboat around 4:00 p.m. and spoke to friends via marine radio at 8:00 p.m. later that evening.
