On a summer evening in July of 2008, 41-year-old Betty Carlton was seen for the last time in Bloomfield, Indiana. She was observed in knee-deep water under the Veteran's Memorial Bridge in Elliston, which crosses the White River. Leading up to her disappearance, there were reports from various people who had seen her exhibiting unusual behavior on July 11th and 12th.
