In the autumn of 2007, a 48-year-old woman named Qin Cui vanished from Las Vegas, Nevada, leaving behind a life and a family. On October 6, she completed her full shift at a local casino where she worked. After finishing her duties, she made a phone call to her family, a routine action that would become the last time they would ever hear from her.
