On a Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 25-year-old Tameka Anderson, a mother of two, began her day with a plan. It was February 23, 2010, and she intended to purchase a used car. The last time her older son, who was 11 at the time, saw her, she was waking him up for school and reminding him to lock the door behind her. Tameka, also known by her nickname Kesha, was a devoted mother to her two sons, who were 11 and 2 years old at the time of her disappearance. Her family firmly believes she would never have voluntarily left them. The day she went missing, Tameka was last seen at an ATM at the Telco Federal Credit Union on Wooddale Boulevard. She withdrew $1,000, which she planned to use for the car purchase. Tameka had told friends and family that she was going to the Galvez area to buy the car from a man. On her way, she spoke to several people on the phone, including a friend in New Orleans and another in Baton Rouge. An acquaintance was reportedly taking her to make the purchase, but that person's identity has not been publicly released. The car was never bought, and Tameka was never heard from again. Years have passed with no answers in Tameka's case. She disappeared without a trace, leaving behind all her personal belongings, including her clothes and cell phone charger. Her family suspects foul play, believing someone may have known she had a large sum of cash from her recent tax return and set up the car deal as a robbery. The Baton Rouge Police Department has investigated her disappearance, which they consider unusual and out of character, though they have not stated that they suspect foul play. Tameka is described as a Black female with black hair and hazel eyes, standing at 5'1" and weighing around 150 pounds. She has several distinctive tattoos, including five stars on the right side of her neck, a flower on her upper arm, and a portrait of her mother and the name "Malik" on her upper right arm. The case remains a painful mystery for her two sons and the rest of her family, who continue to hope for answers.
