In the autumn of 1984, 61-year-old Frank M. Pozar and his wife Tessie were preparing for their annual winter retreat to Hawaii from their home in Spokane, Washington. Frank and Tessie, who owned and operated the Spokane Street Motel, were last seen on October 26, 1984. It was their custom to close the motel, place their camper in storage, and kennel their two dogs before heading to the warmer climate of Hawaii for the fall and winter months.
