In the summer of 1993, a 24-year-old man named Warren Alexander Brindel, also known as Alex, moved to Quartzsite, Arizona. He found work at a diner in the nearby town of Hope. Warren maintained regular contact with his family through phone calls and letters. The last time his family heard from him was in a phone call to his mother in December of that year. The last confirmed sighting of Warren was on December 22, 1993, when he was arrested in La Paz County for a drunken fight at a bar. After this arrest, he seemingly vanished. Warren was a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing at 5'10" and weighing around 165 pounds. He had some distinguishing features, including a broken tooth on the upper left side of his mouth, as well as healed fractures in his left arm and ribs. Friends and family knew he struggled with alcoholism, and he had a tendency to get into fights when he was drinking. Despite his struggles, he was known to always keep in touch with a close circle of friends and family, which made his sudden silence all the more alarming. Following the last phone call in December 1993, Warren's mother became increasingly worried when she didn't hear from him. She made several attempts to leave messages for him in the following months and was eventually told that he had left the Quartzsite area around February or March of 1994. This was highly uncharacteristic of him. His mother tried multiple times to file a missing persons report, but one was not officially filed until 1996. The investigation into Warren's disappearance has yielded few answers, and his case remains an unsolved and heart-wrenching mystery for his loved ones.
