In the summer of 2015, a 25-year-old man from Tucson, Arizona, named Jeffrey Alvarado, seemingly vanished. On August 1st, he informed his family of his intention to move to Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, to live with relatives. He departed from Tucson, and that was the last time anyone has reported hearing from him. Weeks turned into months, and with no word from Jeffrey, concern grew into a formal investigation. The Pima County Sheriff's Department was tasked with looking into his disappearance. Jeffrey, also known by the last name Sanchez-Alvarado, is a biracial man of White and Hispanic descent with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he stood at 5'9" and weighed approximately 165 pounds. His appearance is distinguished by numerous tattoos. These include three dots on his right hand, the name "Lili" on his right forearm, and "Ruby" on his left forearm. He also has the number "520" tattooed on his abdomen, stars near his left eye, the phrase "GET MONEY T TOWN" on his neck, an "A" on his left hand, and an Arizona flag across his chest. The circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Alvarado’s case remain shrouded in uncertainty. He left with a stated plan to live with family across the border, yet it appears he never arrived or made contact upon reaching his destination. The lack of communication since his departure is a central point of concern for investigators and his family. The Pima County Sheriff's Department continues to seek any information that might shed light on what happened to Jeffrey after he left Tucson. His case is an overview of a person who had clear intentions to relocate and stay in touch with family, but who ultimately disappeared without a trace, leaving behind a prolonged and painful silence.
