In the autumn of 2016, a 26-year-old man named Jonathan Hemer embarked on a cross-country journey that would mysteriously end in the vast Arizona desert. On September 15th, he and a companion were traveling from Texas to California, hauling a motorcycle on a trailer behind their truck. They made a stop in Seligman, Arizona, where they decided to split up. His friend would ride the motorcycle ahead while Jonathan was to follow in the truck. They planned to reunite at a 76 gas station in Kingman. However, Jonathan and the truck never arrived at the designated meeting place. The following morning, on September 16th, the truck was discovered abandoned and unlocked on the side of Highway 93, at the 10.5-mile marker south of the Hoover Dam. The truck was reportedly out of gas. Inside the vehicle were all of Jonathan's belongings, with the exception of his wallet and the truck's keys. This discovery triggered an extensive search of the surrounding area. Both aerial and ground searches were conducted, but they yielded no clues as to Jonathan's whereabouts. It was as if he had vanished into the unforgiving landscape. Jonathan is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair, which he kept short or shaved, and blue eyes. He has a distinctive tattoo on the back of his head of a red sun with a cobra's head above it and the tail extending below his hairline. He wore contact lenses due to poor vision and may not have had his backup glasses with him. At the time of his disappearance, he was likely wearing jeans and Red Wing-style boots. The investigation into Jonathan Hemer's disappearance has left his family and authorities with more questions than answers. The circumstances surrounding his vanishing act on that lonely stretch of Arizona highway remain a perplexing mystery. No one has reported hearing from him since that day, and his case continues to be an active missing person investigation.
