In the spring of 2016, the family of Michael Dewayne Edwards, a 33-year-old aspiring musician known to his friends as 'Luck,' grew increasingly concerned. Michael, who was described by his cousin as a man who loved his family, had uncharacteristically fallen out of contact with them since April 22. Six days after anyone had last heard from him, his brother officially reported him missing to the East Point Police Department on April 28.
