Richard Floyd Atkins, a 21-year-old male, was last seen on August 11, 1980, in a residential area of Clear Lake, California. At the time of his disappearance, Atkins was described as 6'4" tall, weighing 175 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He had a beard and distinguishing scars, including a one-inch scar on his back and another on his left knee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown boots.
