In the late spring of 1993, Justin Burgwinkel, a 21-year-old Private in the United States Army, disappeared under circumstances that remain a mystery. Stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington, the young man with aspirations of becoming an elite Army Ranger vanished on June 12, 1993. In the time leading up to his disappearance, those close to him, particularly his girlfriend Iolanda Antunes, noticed a significant and troubling change in his behavior.
