In the spring of 2024, concern grew for the well-being of 25-year-old Byrant Sims from Harvey, Illinois. His family last heard from him on April 7, 2024, and as days turned into weeks, the silence became increasingly alarming. His mother, Linda Sims, joined another mother in a similar, desperate situation at a news conference to publicly plead for help in locating their missing children. The Harvey Police Department was handling the investigation into his disappearance.
