In the early morning hours in the Miners Candle area of Clear Creek County, Colorado, a friend of Dustin Shane Poole reported hearing him calling for his dog around 3:00 a.m. This would be the last time anyone is known to have heard from the 30-year-old man. Later that same morning, after being unable to locate him, a friend was sent to search for Dustin, but he was nowhere to be found.
