On the evening of July 28, 2018, 42-year-old Rhonda Faye Day left her grandmother's home in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, around 9:00 p.m. She was heading to a friend's house in the Pleasure Ridge Park area of Louisville. Sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m., she called her grandmother to let her know she wouldn't be returning home until about 4:00 a.m. the next morning.
