On July 2, 2018, 46-year-old Jefferson "Jeff" West was last seen by his mother and brother in front of his family's home on Washington Street in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance that day are uncertain; his mother believed he may have walked into the woods near their house, a place he sometimes went to clear his head, while his brother thought he might have been picked up by someone in a vehicle.
