In the autumn of 2018, a 42-year-old aspiring rapper named Rashan A. Francis, originally from the Bronx, New York, had recently relocated to Scranton, Pennsylvania, to embark on a new chapter in his life with a new job. On November 6, 2018, a day that began like any other, Rashan was last seen walking along Business Route 6 in Dickson City, Pennsylvania. He was a Black male, standing at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds, with brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, his head was shaved, and he may have had a beard. He was last seen wearing a distinctive red, white, and blue jacket with a red hood, blue jeans or dark-colored pants, and red sneakers, and he was carrying a black backpack. He also has a tattoo on one of his upper arms. The circumstances surrounding Rashan's disappearance are deeply troubling and began with a frantic phone call to his mother on the day he went missing. In what would be their last conversation, a panicked Rashan told his mother that someone was after him and that he believed they were going to kill him.
