Eztli accepted a ride, but the driver needed to complete a delivery first. Upon returning, Eztli was no longer at the scene, and the vehicle remained abandoned.

Immediate Aftermath and Family Concerns

The GrubHub driver reported the abandoned car to the authorities. Attempts by the police to contact Eztli were unsuccessful. When family and friends were informed about the accident and the deserted vehicle, alarm bells rang. Eztli's sister, Stephany Cortez, emphasized that it was out of character for Eztli to leave their car behind, highlighting its importance to them.
