Eztli Atl Cortez-Trujillo, a 22-year-old from North Ogden, Utah, disappeared under puzzling circumstances on April 23, 2020. Identifying as gender-fluid and using they/she pronouns, Eztli's sudden absence has left family, friends, and the community searching for answers.
On that fateful day, Eztli was involved in a minor car accident on North Ogden Divide Road. A GrubHub delivery driver noticed Eztli by their silver Volkswagen and offered assistance. Eztli accepted a ride, but the driver needed to complete a delivery first. Upon returning, Eztli was no longer at the scene, and the vehicle remained abandoned.
The GrubHub driver reported the abandoned car to the authorities. Attempts by the police to contact Eztli were unsuccessful. When family and friends were informed about the accident and the deserted vehicle, alarm bells rang. Eztli's sister, Stephany Cortez, emphasized that it was out of character for Eztli to leave their car behind, highlighting its importance to them.
The investigation faced several hurdles. Initially handled by the Weber County Police Department, the case was later transferred to the Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD). Family members expressed frustration over perceived delays and lack of communication from law enforcement. They felt that Eztli's identity as a Hispanic individual and a member of the LGBTQ+ community might have influenced the urgency of the response. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
