A Routine Flight Turns Mysterious

On August 11, 1996, Nichol Paul Sias and William Cork embarked on what was supposed to be a brief 20-minute flight from Anderson Bay to Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The journey, however, took a tragic turn when the aircraft failed to arrive at its destination. Subsequent search efforts led to the discovery of parts of the plane on the beach in Constantine Bay, but neither Sias nor Cork were ever found. This incident remains one of Alaska's enduring aviation mysteries.
