Background and Identity

Aisa Aumoeualogo, a 50-year-old Asian male, hailed from Anchorage and had strong ties to both the educational and Samoan communities. According to records, he served as an assistant principal at West High School in Anchorage and was an active youth counselor and a notable figure within the Mormon Church. At the time of his disappearance, Aisa stood approximately 5′11″ and weighed around 240 lb, with brown hair and brown eyes .

The Day of the Incident

On June 14, 2000, Aisa and his younger brother, Leroy Manumaleuna, ventured to the turbulent Copper River near Chitina for a customary dip-net fishing outing.
