Overview

Justin Keith Burgwinkel, a 21-year-old U.S. Army private stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington state , vanished on June 12, 1993, after weeks of increasingly erratic behavior and a sudden departure from routine. His disappearance remains unsolved, with a handful of verifiable milestones and a car later discovered near his former post at Fort Ord, California.  

From Fort Ord to Fort Lewis

Prior to his disappearance, Burgwinkel was stationed at Fort Ord in Monterey, California, where he met and dated a local university student.
