A Tranquil Kayaking Trip Turns Tragic
On May 28, 2024, a serene kayaking excursion at a water-filled abandoned strip mine near Girardville, Pennsylvania, took a devastating turn. Known locally as the "A-Hole," this secluded spot has long attracted adventurers despite its inherent dangers. That afternoon, 42-year-old Donald Hamaker and a companion set out to navigate its murky waters. Tragedy struck around 2:15 p.m. when Hamaker's kayak capsized, and he vanished beneath the surface. His companion, after an initial search, discovered the overturned kayak but no sign of Hamaker. Alarmingly, emergency services were not contacted until approximately two hours later, a delay that shifted the operation from a rescue to a recovery mission.
The "A-Hole": A Hazardous Attraction
The "A-Hole," situated at 701 Main St., Girardville, is a privately owned former strip mine that has been flooded for over five decades. Despite its picturesque appearance, it conceals numerous hazards beneath its surface. Girardville Fire Chief Frank Zangari Jr. has expressed concerns over the years, noting that the pit's depths can reach up to 300 feet and are filled with debris, making it perilous for swimmers and kayakers alike. The site has been the scene of multiple drownings, with at least six reported fatalities prior to Hamaker's disappearance. ...Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
