Richard William Hardie, affectionately known as "Dick," was a 73-year-old resident of Foresthill, California, a small town nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Born on April 10, 1918, Hardie was a Caucasian male with gray hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He bore surgical scars on his back and the right side of his chest from a rib removal operation. Known for his survivalist skills, Hardie often ventured into the surrounding wilderness to camp, fish, and hike.
On March 27, 1992, Hardie had a heated argument with his wife at their Foresthill home. In a state of anger, he left the house, leaving behind his wallet and keys but taking his Bultaco dirt bike and helmet. This was the last confirmed sighting of Hardie. Despite his familiarity with the local terrain, he never returned home, and no one has heard from him since.
Following his disappearance, authorities conducted an extensive search of the nearby canyon areas where Hardie frequently spent time. Despite these efforts, no trace of him or his dirt bike was found. The lack of any physical evidence has left investigators and family members without answers for over three decades.
Given Hardie's survivalist background, some speculate that he may have intentionally disappeared into the wilderness. However, the absence of any activity on his Social Security number since his disappearance suggests he did not establish a new life elsewhere. Others believe he may have succumbed to the elements or experienced an accident in the remote terrain. The fact that his dirt bike was never located adds to the mystery....Read More

on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
