A Fateful Morning Behind the Playpen
In the early hours of October 4, 2015, the tranquility of a Tampa morning was shattered by a violent act that remains unresolved to this day. At approximately 5:16 a.m., 32-year-old Jermaine Montea Faison was seated in his 2009 blue Maserati, parked behind the Playpen Gentlemen's Club located at 1715 N. 50th Street. Without warning, a gunshot rang out, striking Faison as he sat in his vehicle. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving a void in the lives of his family and friends.
The Elusive Person of Interest
In the aftermath of the shooting, the Tampa Police Department swiftly initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Faison's death. Detectives identified a person of interest who was observed entering the Playpen Gentlemen's Club prior to the incident. This individual was also seen inside Faison's Maserati at the time of the shooting. To aid in the investigation, authorities released a photograph of the person of interest, appealing to the public for assistance in identifying him. He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through.
